Roy Novotny passed away May 16, 2017 in Mesa, AZ Roy was born March 8, 1928 in Garfield, NJ to Frank and Victoria (Marge) Novotny.

Roy served in the US Navy, after being discharged he worked at John Royal and Sons as a machinist. Roy's favorite past time was bowling, that's where he met the love of his life - Anita Guglielmo. The couple married on Oct. 7, 1973 and began their journey in Nutley, NJ. Five years later their son Douglas was born. That's when they moved to Pompton Lakes, NJ until...

Roy Novotny passed away May 16, 2017 in Mesa, AZ Roy was born March 8, 1928 in Garfield, NJ to Frank and Victoria (Marge) Novotny.

Roy served in the US Navy, after being discharged he worked at John Royal and Sons as a machinist. Roy's favorite past time was bowling, that's where he met the love of his life - Anita Guglielmo. The couple married on Oct. 7, 1973 and began their journey in Nutley, NJ. Five years later their son Douglas was born. That's when they moved to Pompton Lakes, NJ until Roy's retirement in 1989. Anita always wanted to leave New Jersey and live out in California, Roy compromised and in 1990 the couple and their son moved to Mesa, AZ. Anita and Roy both volunteered at the Phoenix Library for several years.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Victoria (Marge), his nephew Rickie Muller and brother-in-law Ed Muller.

Roy is survived by his wife Anita, son Douglas, sister June Muller, and nephews Donald and Kenneth Muller.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Road., Mesa, AZ 85202.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa, AZ. The committal service will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ.
